The Women in ARTs Health & Wellness Initiative funding by the Women's Fund expands mentorship beyond professional achievement to address the well-being that makes long-term creative work possible.
We recognize that women often balance creative ambitions with work, family responsibilities, caregiving, financial pressures, and other personal commitments. Our wellness-centered approach creates opportunities for participants to pause, reconnect with themselves, and develop practices that support both personal well-being and professional longevity.
Through wellness workshops, guided reflection, creative restoration activities, and practical sustainability resources, participants will explore ways to:
Establish healthier boundaries between creative work and personal life.
Recognize and manage stress associated with creative careers.
Incorporate rest, reflection, and restoration into their routines.
Build sustainable work habits and realistic professional goals.
Strengthen confidence, self-advocacy, and personal resilience.
Develop supportive relationships and community connections.
Define success in ways that align with their values, well-being, and long-term vision.
Our goal is to cultivate a culture where women do not have to sacrifice their well-being to pursue their creative ambitions. By connecting mentorship, professional development, and wellness, Women in ARTs supports women in building creative lives that are fulfilling, financially sustainable, and grounded in personal well-being.
At ARThentic Arts, we believe investing in women creatives means investing in their talent, their livelihood, their well-being, and their future. Through Women in ARTs, we are cultivating a community where women can access mentorship, develop professionally, receive compensation for their participation and contributions, and build the tools and relationships needed to thrive.
Because sustainable creativity starts with supporting the whole woman.
Program and Operation Support provided by the Women's Fundation of Centeral Indiana, Indianapolis Arts Council, and Allen Whitehill Clowes Charitable Foundation help support our programming and initatives.
